Moon.com rakeback: activation, fees and examples

Understand Moon.com's conditional 3.5% fee rebate, how activation works, where to check it and how to calculate it without confusing fees with your wager.

What Moon.com rakeback pays back

Moon.com rakeback is a conditional rebate of 3.5% of eligible fees paid by an activated account. The calculation starts with fees, rather than your deposit, wager or leveraged exposure. For example, $100 in eligible fees would produce a $3.50 rebate before any account-specific rounding or treatment.

Moon's English rakeback help article, dated 11 September 2026, describes fees from opening a wager and closing a profitable bet. We reviewed the public sources on 18 October 2026. This guide explains those published rules; it does not establish that rakeback is active on your account.

How rakeback activation works

The help article gives two activation routes. Accounts created through a cooperating streamer or known affiliate would normally have rakeback activated automatically. The word normally matters: finding a referral link or typing a code does not, by itself, confirm your account's entitlement.

Moon Explained’s referral code is MAX. Open Moon with code MAX. We may receive a commission if you register through this link. On 18 October 2026, the public email-registration form showed max in its optional offer-code field. We did not create an account or test activation. Confirm your account’s eligibility and rakeback status with Moon; the prefilled code does not establish either.

The other documented route is Bronze VIP. Moon says a VIP manager will contact the account through support to enable rakeback after that rank is reached. Check your actual status with support rather than placing extra wagers to pursue a rebate. Fees and potential losses can exceed any rakeback received.

If you already have an account, ask support about its current eligibility. The article does not establish a right to replace an earlier referral, attach a new code retrospectively or recover rebates on fees paid before activation.

Where to check your rakeback

After activation, Moon documents the location as Account > VIP > Rakeback. Look for the account's activation status, displayed balance and any applicable conditions there. If the section is missing or the amount seems wrong, use Moon's support chat to request confirmation.

A useful support request identifies the fee or wager you are checking and asks when activation took effect, which fees qualify and how the displayed amount was calculated. Keep the reply with your records. The public help article does not specify a universal claim interval, minimum claim, expiry or immediate withdrawal rule.

Two calculations that keep the fee base clear

Example one: suppose an activated account pays $100 in fees that Moon confirms are eligible. Multiply $100 by 0.035 to get $3.50. This is an arithmetic illustration, not a promise of a particular account balance or a suggestion to generate those fees.

Example two: Moon's fee explanation states a 1% opening fee based on the wager amount. A hypothetical $100 wager therefore has a $1 opening fee. If that fee qualifies for an activated account, its 3.5% rebate is $1 × 0.035 = $0.035, or 3.5 cents. It is not $3.50.

That fractional-cent result is the unrounded calculation. The public sources reviewed here do not explain precision, currency conversion or how small amounts appear in the account. The opening fee remains the stated fee; a later rebate should be recorded separately. Selecting more leverage does not turn the opening-fee base into the larger exposure.

Which fees qualify, and the holding-fee discrepancy

The English rakeback article names opening fees and fees on profitable closes. Moon's fee article says the performance fee is subject to a minimum of 10% of realized profit. Do not calculate every profitable close using an assumed universal 10% rate; use the applicable fee actually paid.

Holding fees need a separate check. The Spanish version of the rakeback article includes fees for keeping a wager open beyond eight hours. The English version reviewed on the same day omits holding fees from that explanation. These descriptions differ, so we cannot confirm a universal holding-fee rebate from them.

Ask Moon whether the particular holding fees on your account qualify before including them in an estimate. Moon's risk disclosure says wagers open longer than eight hours may incur periodic holding fees under the applicable product specifications. This does not establish a charge every eight hours.

Rakeback, losses and the P&L display

Eligible fees can generate rakeback on a winning or losing wager. A rebate on a losing wager's opening fee leaves the wager loss intact. Using the $100 example above, the illustrative opening-fee rebate is $0.035; it does not reimburse a $100 wager loss.

Moon says its displayed P&L already incorporates estimated closing execution and applicable performance fees. That statement does not establish whether a separate rakeback credit is included. When reconciling a wager, distinguish the displayed settlement estimate, fees actually paid and any separately credited rebate. Do not subtract the performance fee twice or add an assumed rebate twice. The Moon fees guide explains the underlying costs.

Eligibility and risk still apply

A rebate does not establish permission to use Moon. Its terms of service, sections 3 and 4, require the higher of age 18 or the applicable local legal age, lawful access and account verification. The United States and United Kingdom are among many prohibited jurisdictions. Other locations are not automatically eligible.

Use the account setup guide for verification context and the leverage and risk guide to understand bust risk. Higher stakes increase the amount at risk; higher leverage can make a wager bust after a smaller adverse price movement. A fee rebate does not remove that risk. Frequently asked questions

Does every referral code activate rakeback? The help article describes normal activation through cooperating affiliates, not a guarantee for every code. Confirm activation in your account or with Moon support. Our guide to Moon.com referral and promo codes explains how to check an advertised offer.

Can an existing user claim rakeback on old fees? The reviewed public help does not establish retroactive eligibility. Ask support for the activation date and treatment of the specific fees.

Can I withdraw rakeback immediately? This review did not establish an unconditional withdrawal rule. Check the conditions shown for your account. Moon's general terms also provide for verification, limits, fees and withdrawal review.

Is rakeback the same as a signup bonus? Rakeback is calculated from eligible paid fees after activation. Any separate signup promotion depends on its own stated offer terms. A referral link alone does not establish a cash bonus.
